Simpler Proofs

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026.

These terms govern use of the Simpler Proofs proof approval service by merchants and their authorized users. By creating an account or installing the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Service

Simpler Proofs provides a proof approval service for Shopify merchants. The service generates branded proof review links, delivers proofs to customers by email, records approvals and revision requests, and forwards proof events to merchant systems through webhooks and APIs.

2. Accounts

Merchants are responsible for accurate account information, authorized user access, and all activity performed through their workspace. Merchants must keep credentials secure and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.

3. Merchant content

Merchants retain ownership of proof files, comments, branding, customer information, and order references uploaded to or generated within their workspace. Merchants grant Simpler Proofs the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to provide the service.

4. Customer data and Shopify integration

When connected to a Shopify store, Simpler Proofs reads order information and writes limited order tags, metafields, status markers, and parent/sibling upsell relationship metadata for proof workflow and upsell attribution. Simpler Proofs does not edit fulfillment, payment, shipping, refund, product, discount, inventory, customer, or destructive order data. Merchants are responsible for ensuring they have the right to share customer contact details with the service for the purpose of sending proof communications.

5. Acceptable use

The service may not be used for unlawful content, unauthorized access, malware distribution, harassment, infringement of intellectual property rights, or attempts to disrupt the service or the platforms it integrates with.

6. Notifications and integrations

The service sends transactional emails to customers and merchants relating to proof status, and delivers webhook events and API responses to merchant-configured endpoints. Merchants are responsible for handling and securing data delivered to their endpoints. Post-approval upsell redirects, when enabled, send the customer to a merchant-configured URL using a signed, time-limited link.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend parts of the service to maintain security, reliability, and quality. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that affect merchants.

8. Termination

Either party may end use of the service at any time. On termination, merchant access to the workspace ends and data is retained or deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable Shopify data deletion requests.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simpler Proofs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of use of the service.
